Join now to get set-up. First special will be announced on Friday 2/07/14 . . . See you then!

Hello Friends!
Lots happening! How about you? . . . I have been getting back to some roots that are very dear to my heart. The Romantic Shabby Chic style. I have new items to put in the shop & am working on others . . . Charming rug designs, totally unique dishware, vintage floral arrangements (new, new, new!!) . . . my mind races to every room of the dollhouse and I have to try to focus my efforts on one thing at a time . . .with so much to do! Yes, I'm still working on this lol I still get out the materials for 5 or more projects at a time because I'd like to do them all! Such a mess it makes in my work space!!

As some of you know, I have battled health issues over the last year and it continues unfortunately however, I am determined to get back to the endless lists that I'm thrilled to make since I'm very grateful that I continue to have so many new ideas that excite me - & yes, I'm sure that I'll get many of those going at the same time also :0

I feel that my craft had progresses as time goes on - though over the last year I didn't have that same opportunity. I feel the way a child who has to be out a year from school must feel. Their classmates move on and they must stay back, not ready to advance to where they would like to be. I didn't make resolutions but rather commitments to myself. Focusing on my craft by doing and learning is important to me. I will not be left behind again.

Thank you to all who visit www.MiniatureRoseGarden.etsy.com every day! Please message me whenever you'd like. I love to get to know other crafters, miniaturists, customers. . .if email is cumbersome, just let me know. I'm happy to speak with you.

I know many of you like the Mid Century Modern era - as the Fornasetti dishware and rugs have been popular. Several have said they actually aren't miniaturists. Are there those of you who are miniaturists, would you like to collect furniture too? I have pieces started on the worktable. . .just debating with myself on different finishing. (Black bedroom set, incorporate platinum or silver and all the ways to do that).

I wrote about my parents in an earlier post. I have many pictures of their home now. You'll see them in a couple of the photos. I'll put the pictures up in the next post.
I think of them now because they started their career as homeowners furnishing their nest very taken with the Mid Century Modern movement. My dad has had an Eames chair for as long as I can remember! They have also had the classic Barcelona chair . . . you'll see in the photos.

The way my parents so successfully mixed their classic 20th century pieces in with all that they went on to collect for the next 50+ years gave me an idea. The chairs pictured below, are reproductions of classic Mid Century pieces.  A couple are statement pieces. Expressions of the inner you. . .  It's your home, your inner sanctum. Some whimsical. Some bring back memories - I know this is true for me. When I was growing up, we had 3 of the chairs from this set. Modern or Contemporary Home, New York Brownstone, San Francisco Loft - no question. Nursery. Playroom. Minimal. For shops. Where do you see putting these chairs?
They are at home as a juxtaposition to your interpretation of French Apartment or in a Romantic setting because the updated color palette allows them to coordinate yet the "One piece that's different" theory is a fun offset. Adding a touch of whimsy. Sophistication. Very versatile. These pieces don't clutter but lend grace and elegance. The chairs are authentic to the originals in their appearance. Not artisan pieces but they sure do look good. There are 11 pieces to choose from in the collection. If they fit your personality & you love them - you know what I say - you won't regret it!

Let me know your thoughts. If you're interesting in purchasing any of these chairs, please email me at MiniatureRoseGarden@gmail.com    I look forward to hearing from you. Have fun!

Look for new items in the shop - I actually have quite a few. I've just procrastinated the sometimes "painful" task of photographing miniatures - a challenging task! Lots of new rugs, new dishware, a new line of clocks. It's actually quite a list when I think of it! The hold up - hands-down would have to be the photography! It takes 20 pictures to get one good one! lol

A short preview. . .
